SMOOTH is a body horror film about body hair, depicting a raw and vulnerable portrait of how abject an experience it is for those who struggle to conform to the aesthetic demands of a binary cis-normative society. As we follow our lead through a dreadful night of dysphoric turbulence, together we learn a language of queer refusal, autonomy, and transcendence as she quells her corporeal anguish through a bloody escape from her skin.
