From the crystalline streams of the Oconaluftee to the broader reach of the Little Tennessee and Tuckasegee Rivers, we follow the course of “Long Person” (Yvwi Ganvhida) — a revered being in Cherokee cosmology, whose head begins in the mountains and whose feet reach the sea.
