A lonely Irish sheep farmer in her 60's forms an unlikely friendship with a young teenage Somali girl, living in the local refugee center in the village.

Thibault Demagna, a politician, goes to the house of a family of Albanian refugees living in Belgium where Oana, a nine-year-old girl, has been lethargic and non-communicative for months. Demagna's skepticism prompts him to investigate. He spends a day with the family in the company of a doctor, convinced that this story is an invention, a legend. He discovers the astonishing truth against his will.
