Corporal Kath Davison is a mess. Eight years after deployment to Afghanistan, she faces the ghosts of war when a young Afghan boy turns up on her parent’s doorstep. Based on stories from veterans and asylum seekers, and set in a Melbourne suburb, The Soft-Skinned sheds light on the journey of Afghan refugees as well as the many forms of PTSD experienced by former combatants.

What our screening reviewers said: "Made me laugh, made me cry."

"I thought differently about PTSD and what soldiers experience - and what happens to refugees."

"How do we make connections?"

"Veterans should watch."
