One block screening of the Best of the Fest award-winning films! Films to be announced on March 7th.

In the vast isolation of the Gobi desert, a precocious young girl and her loving but drunken father desperately search for her estranged "real" mother. A broken woman returns to a home and community that does not want her, and an obligation she cannot fulfill. Lives collide.

From our NewGate School Global Campus Youth Jury:

From heartfelt to heart-wrenching and back to heartfelt, this film will take you on a journey through the bonds of mother and daughter. Sometimes blood does not equal love, and family must be found through pain.

- Nadia, 10th Grade, NewGate Global School Youth Jury member

WHAT WE LOVE:

Beautifully shot in the Gobi Desert, a girl lives with her dad, but longs for a mother to complete her family. Stellar performances by all. What a window on a country many of us never visit! Absolutely stunning.
