Sam, a teenage girl, is finally ready to come out as a lesbian to her conservative parents. However, her overactive imagination keeps her from telling them because she expects the worst. Her promise to her girlfriend, Jules, helps her to work up the courage to tell them. Met with an unexpected positive reaction, Sam tries to use the opportunity to convince them to invite her girlfriend to dinner.
