Steve is a deadbeat husband and father who promises his wife, Leslie, over the phone that he’s done with drugs. After hanging up, he’s about to do another line of cocaine when Victor, a drug lord, pays him a surprise visit with an ultimatum: pay up, or he’s taking Steve’s young daughter. Meanwhile, mother and daughter scrounge for dinner with the little money they have—all while Leslie has a sinking feeling the night is about to take a terrible turn.
