Director's Statement:

“Voice for the unvoiced.” As a director, my interest is to portray a fraction of our social societal

life to reflect a deeper level humanity.

The Intruder further explores social problems that are

happening in California on a personal and political level in a sarcastic way: Homelessness,

Policies, and how it affects people in different ways. The intimacy happens when the two

individuals who are in the center of the tornado encounter, a running Mayor, and an intruder.

From their collision it also discusses the essence of good and evil. Is there hard definition of

morality? Or are there just benefits? Is it just survival? At the expenses of who?


Qian Cheng - Writer/Director/Producer

Qian is an aspiring filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She is graduating from UCLA Extension

as a directing major student. After she graduated her bachelor from Beijing University of

Technology, she explored different industries: Jewelry Business, Education, Film & TV

distribution. She finds filmmaking to be one of the best ways to have a voice in this world.

She is on her way to become one of the best storytellers in Los Angeles
