Director's Statement:

When the Time Comes was an opportunity for the two of us to finally work together on a short film, something we tried to put together for years. We wanted to tell a story that was set within the horror genre, but something we hadn’t seen before. The idea of protagonist who is unfit to survive in a post-apocalyptic world and therefor chooses to use his remaining time on what’s most important to his life, was very appealing to us. We choose to shoot the film in Shreveport, Louisiana because we’re both from that part of the country and had access to resources we wouldn’t have had otherwise. We were very proud to have the film premiere in Los Angeles at the 2022 Screamfest Horror Film Festival and then go on to win Best Short Film at Screamfest New Orleans.
