Online screening includes a recorded interview with director Ran Tal in conversation with Keren Misgav.

At the age of 78, army general and politician Ehud Barak looks back at key events that have shaped the narrative of the state of Israel as well as that of his own life and career – as a decorated commander, the IDF chief of staff and Prime Minister. Considering the role of leaders in determining history, Barak speaks candidly about his childhood memories of the 1948 war and the shock of the Yom Kippur war, the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin and his peace talks with Yasser Arafat at Camp David, among other things. Directed by celebrated Israeli documentarist Ran Tal (Children of the Sun, Garden of Eden), What If? offers a fascinating and sobering take on Israel’s past triumphs and failures.
