Description:
Kesz Valdez, a homeless Filipino boy living in the slums of Cavite, is forced to work at the dumpsite by his parents. When he's accidentally burnt while picking garbage, his parents denounce him as bad luck and cast him out to live alone on the streets at the age of 4. Fortunately, a fateful encounter changes his life and ignites a flame in his soul to help thousands of children like him, and eventually leads to a Nobel Peace Prize.
Biography:
Marcos Negrão is a Brazilian film director, producer, and cinematographer. His main focus is global documentary projects with international appeal, social impact, and potential to promote change. Through this concept, Marcos was already honored with over 30 international awards, and has been working with partners like Discovery Channel, Amazon, ARTE, RAI, RTP, and ABC, among others. Johanna Schnell is an American film producer and child development specialist. Since 2014, Marcos and Johanna have been traveling around the world producing films about children and youth with a new worldview of empathy, collaboration, and love. Stories of young people who are already making a difference and can inspire others through their stories of resilience, struggle, and transformation.
