We always look for a sense of belonging, whether within a family or a community. Belonging/Unbelonging is a short film set looking into the lives of people who struggle to fit in. How do we navigate a new way of life in a foreign land (Ngày Mai and Good Chips)? Can we, as outsiders, grow to be part of a community (Dawn of Skates and The Bonsai Master)? How far would you go for your own family? (Flowing Home and I Am No One)? This set offers insights into human relationships and connections.  - Jiyon Byun

[I Am No One contains a brief scene of implied violence.]

Minh is an ordinary man. His daily routine revolves around commuting on the subway, working, sleeping... and fulfilling his duties as a son of Vietnamese immigrants in France. Raised with humble values, Minh is nearly invisible to the French society. He faces the stereotypes and prejudice directed towards Asians, as well as the pressure from his elders who consistently demand more from him. However, appearances can be deceiving.
