Sometime in the 1980s or '90s, an 11-year-old Israeli girl comes to America with her family. She is welcomed by a similarly-aged girl whose family are Vietnamese refugees. Decidedly from the point of view of the Israeli girl who writes letters to a friend back home, as this is a semiautobiographical film. Placed first as it is the most accessible film of the bunch. Was the basis of a feature film named Foreign Letters (2012).
