No matter when or where, one’s teenage years are filled with awkward missteps and what seem - in the moment - to be life-defining calamities. Teenagers, even young adults, come into their adult lives on their own terms, but are always shaped by the people and the society surrounding them. Emily Has a Body and Vào Đời (We Come into Life) - in two environments and situations that could not be any more different - reflect this struggle with humor and pathos abound.

CAAM is a proud Community Partner for Vào Đời (We Come into Life).

After a traumatic hair incident, Emily Dastoor seeks a friendship with an older classmate who mentors her out of her preteen-hood. With new friends, she learns to shoplift, smoke and kiss, but more importantly, discover what growing up and womanhood means at 13.
