What does it mean to "fit in"? How can we be authentically ourselves while finding acceptance in our respective communities? "Fitting In" brings together six films asking these questions in unique ways. Several films examine adolescence and the propensity of teenagers to make personal sacrifices or compromises (All I Ever Wanted, Exposed, Fourth Block, and Mom) – for better or worse. Through its choreography, Project Lullaby: CHOICE spotlights mental health awareness and expresses, through dance, the emotional duress of those struggling with mental illness. Together, these films explore the costs of fitting in and the personal significance of finding understanding with others along the way.

Project Lullaby Choice follows one woman’s journey towards life, moving through abandoned landscapes as she battles her inner shadow.

CHOICE is a dance short film that focuses on suicide awareness and prevention. As more and more awareness has been given towards mental health, there has not been enough attention given to this heavy topic due to the societal stigmatization and taboo of death, especially in Asian communities. There are many underlying reasons and emotions that suicide survivors go through that have been misunderstood by the society, which as a result, propagate blame, guilt, and most importantly avoidance and inability to empathize and support. ‘Project Lullaby CHOICE’ is meant to shed light on those behaviours and emotional turmoils that lead to the choice to let go of life.
