A Matter of Size

This Israeli film is a warm-hearted romantic comedy that deals with body image. It follows the exploits of a tight-knit group of friends who share the frustrations involved with society's view of one's physical size. It is an often comical yet poignant journey from shame and self-loathing to acceptance, and from loneliness to true love.

The film's humour avoids being at the expense of the likable and devoted protagonist. The cinematography reinforces the sometimes subtle humour throughout this picture. It is a sweet experience from beginning to end.

If you thought that sumo wrestling could never fit into the Israeli pastime, think again! Now, upward and outward.
