Running November 1st to 6th, the 2022 VIJFF entails in-person film events at the Vic Theatre (808 Douglas St.) and online screenings. In the virtual cinema, the VIJFF presents four films. In-person film events, programmed around five feature-length films, include pre-show live music, in-cinema snack (nosh), and two live conversations featuring film directors and others. There will also be a lively Family Program on Sunday, November 6th, that will entertain with a short Irish comedy, a storyteller, a sing-along duo, a balloon-twister, and crafts! Themes of reconciliation, recovery, and repair inform the presentation of the 2022 VIJFF and its program of relatable cross-cultural cinema.
