Every summer, a thousand Texas high school senior boys gather for a week-long program for an elaborate mock exercise: building their own state government. This political coming of age style documentary follows the escalating tensions that arise within a riveting gubernatorial race as viewers meet unforgettable teenagers like Ben, a Reagan-loving conservative with unshakeable confidence, and Steven, a progressive-minded child of Mexican immigrants who remains convicted amidst a sea of red.&nbsp;Filmmakers Jesse Moss and Amanda McBaine create a complex portrait of modern American masculinity while cultivating hope for the next generation of leaders despite frequent national political division.
