Canada's 1923 Chinese Exclusion Act was a dark period in Canadian history that lasted almost a quarter century. Even after the law was repealed in 1947, the impact continued for decades. This documentary explores the story of a group of Chinese for whom exclusion never ended: the hundreds of married Chinese “bachelor” men who never managed to return to China nor bring their families to Canada.
