From first snow to first chair, as skiers, there is an emotion and a feeling that resonates within all of us and can be defined by those seasonal moments.

First Frost

On his quest to complete his three-part celestial ski photo series, pro photographer Reuben Krabbe ventures into the backcountry of British Columbia to attempt to shoot a deep space ski photo of the Orion Nebula with a skier in the foreground. Planned over two years and only achievable on a clear moonless winter night that happens a few times a year, the pressure is on Reuben to prove to himself that he can capture another impossible photograph.

An unlikely environmentalist, Bryan Wells finds himself standing between Yellowstone National Park and an industrial-scale gold mine. The proposed mine sits just above his home, and not only threatens America’s most iconic national park but his community's way of life.

Bare Existence gives a behind the scenes look into the plight of the polar bear and the biologists on the front lines of protecting these species as they battle against the effects of climate change threatening their existence. This film presents a drastic cry for immediate attention and instills our viewer with hope, illuminating present-day efforts for a brighter future.

Somewhere in the wild expanse of the Alps Mountains, our group of five friends, with boards and climbing skins underfoot, marvels at the vast untracked mountain faces and the majesty of the surrounding peaks. Featuring Jeremy Jones, Mat Schaer, Levi Luggen, Léo Taillefer and Thomas Delfino, our group of snowboarders is willing to travel and ride the mountains in a more environmentally-responsible way, always with the objective in mind to reduce their carbon footprint.

Shelter

Common Ground brings viewers into the small communities of San Juan County, Utah where a fierce debate about public land is underway. As five tribes lead an Indigenous movement demanding respect for tribal sovereignty, locals advocating for less federal control over public land gain a voice. The story evolving in this remote part of Utah is a microcosm of the greater political and cultural divides seen across the country.
