Born From Junk traces the outlaw roots of mountain biking back to its raw beginnings in Crested Butte, where a crew of unlikely pioneers in pursuit of wild times in the mountains blossomed into a global phenomenon.

Is it possible to climb the hardest route on Mount Everest in Alpine style? Chris Bonington named the route The Hard Way and stated it is impossible. It was a challenge for four Slovak climbers. In 1988 they started their hardest way with no escape.

Modern-day snowboarding began in Michigan when Sherman Poppin fastened two of his daughterâs skis together and stood sideways on his backyard hill in Muskegon. Since then it has taken the world stage by storm - triple cork rotations are now the norm, board technology has entered the 21st century, and families everywhere are starting their kids out on snowboards instead of skis. Made in the Mitten is an homage to where it all began - on a skinny piece of wood in the backyards of the Midwest.

« At the sharp end it is a beautifully hard bicycle race, simple in design but complex in execution. » But the Transcontinental Race is rarely a race against fellow competitors, nor against oneself. It is, primarily, a race for oneself. To ride the TCR is to explore who you become at the side of a road in the Alps or the Balkans, low on sleep, lucidity, hygiene and any notion of comfort. In the saddle, rolling over rough tarmac sixteen or eighteen hours a day, finding what exists beyond fatigue and exhaustion. Do you scratch? Get the train home? Or discover and escape from everything that has been holding you back. There is everything Antonin, the director, has collected, through the eyes of the photographers, James Robertson and Camille Mcmillan, Mike Hall &amp; Anna Haslock, and Matthieu, cap 109, a cyclist who fights a very personal battle simply to complete the race. The TCR is much more than a race, it's a complete experience. Here, filmed during 3 races from 2016 to 2018, Onboard will immerse you in the unique experience that is the Transcontinental Race.

Described as “the Iditarod, on a boat, with a chance of drowning or being eaten by a grizzly bear,” it’s amazing anyone enters at all. There are no motors and no support – and nobody finishes without a story.&nbsp; We follow the visceral experience of racers as they compete in one of the most difficult endurance challenges in the world. This race pushes people to find new depths, and discover new layers of themselves. The film is a raw and often times hilarious account of pulling through, again and again – a window into what collective stamina looks like.
