“K2 is a savage mountain that tries to kill you.” That is how climber George Bell described the infamous peak after the first American expedition in 1953–forever giving the mountain its nickname–The Savage Mountain. Sixty-six years later, Eddie Bauer mountain guides Adrian Ballinger and Carla Perez aim to summit the 8611-meter peak and join a community of explorers fewer in number than those who have been to outer space. Even more incredible, they both will attempt the feat without the use of supplemental oxygen. Every step of the way the team faces hazardous conditions, terrifying setbacks, and crushing misfortunes. But as Ballinger puts it, “[I] go until the mountain tells me I can’t go anymore.”

Breathtaking: K2 - The World's Most Dangerous Mountain

In September 2019, a team of talented Irish climbers [Chloe Condron, Kevin Kilroy, Michelle OâLoughlin and Conor McGovern] travelled to the small island of Owey to explore sea cliffs that local guidebook writer Iain Miller claims, have âenough new routing potential to last at least twelve lifetimesâ. âA Feather in the Westâ is a film about their trad climbing experiences and the relatively niche pursuit of first ascents, set on the Wild Atlantic Way, off the west coast of County Donegal.

Gorropu is a film portrait of Aleksandra Taistra, a passionate rock climber with a unique focus and determination, who realized her multi-season project Hotel Supramonte in October 2019. A project of this sort requires a commitment level that most would call unattainable and Aleksandra battled tough weather conditions and self-doubt, often without a regular climbing partner, on her journey to complete the route. The film describes both the talents of Aleksandra and the emotional and mental side that underly a project of such ambition. Through the awe inspiring landscapes of Gorropu and other stunning Sarda landscapes, the film illustrates how Aleksandra has made climbing one of her raison dâÃªtre and how with perseverance and self belief a seemingly unattainable goal can become a stepping stone towards understanding oneself.

The goal was simple, ride bikes, loaded down with 100 pounds of climbing, skiing and camping equipment, over 1000 miles to ski three of The Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America. A tiring adventure and a sufferfest of course, but in the context of an ongoing global pandemic, a nation divided by chaos and a populace on the brink, a simple adventure throws the simple act of adventure into question. Why purposely suffer? Why selfishly pursue adventure? Why go into the mountains at all? All questions that a month long adventure begins to throw into your mind. Starring Cody Townsend and Michelle Parker, "The Mountain Why" is a ski adventure unlike any normal escape to the wild.&nbsp; This is a short film in The FIFTY series and line 28, 29, and 30 completed for The FIFTY, a project following Cody Townsend as he attempts to climb and ski all fifty of the lines and mountains chronicled in the book, "The 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America." The series documents Townsend's journey's, travels, challenges and each line and mountain listed in the book. It's a journey through the most majestic mountains and ski lines in North America along with a unique insight into how skiers make decisions in the backcountry, how they plan, navigate and safely move through the mountains and the people that dedicate their lives to the mountains.

Follow our journey along the old Silk Road as we push our limits both physically and mentally. You will meet the local people who help us, offer us a bed for the night, and most likely think weâre mad. Watch as the landscape, the people, and especially the food transform along the length of these two magnificent roads. This film will make you laugh, it may make you cry, and it will definitely make you want to travel!

Experienced through three short movements, Kyle performs a live score in a visceral interpretation of his expression in the hills.

The Though carries a lot of meanings: defiant, vicious, resistant, relentless, strong, resilient, cold, hard. The film's protagonist had a reason to choose this name for his discovery - a place he has to face where he learns about all those characteristics tangibly and literally the hard way. It stirs his imagination while abruptly and obsessively pushes him forward. The camera follows him, step by step, taking part in the exploration of the spaces never seen before, which more and more fiercely resist the delicate human matter.
