ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Beginning at Anthology Film Archives New York City, DD has made three publicly screened short films. The third of these, “Together!” (2009) was acclaimed and toured globally. DD's latest film, "Granny X" (2022), contributes its investigations into impermanence and taboo. DD was active in the late nineties California music scene and is civilly unioned since then with LA punk novelist Thorn Kief Hillsbery, forever linking their work with that of the Situationists.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Dez Stavracos is an animator and illustrator based out of Brooklyn, New York, currently working full-time as the Head of Production at Hornet. As Head of Production, Dez oversees and supports the Cel and Motion teams; vetting new inquiries, defining opportunities, and guiding the production methodology, schedule and bid. As a part of the senior leadership team, Dez is also tasked with continually evolving the studio production practices, technically and creatively. Dez began his full-time animation career in May 2010 with Bill Plympton. His credits include Simpsons “Couch Gag”s, Kahlil Gibran’s "The Prophet", and the feature film "Cheatin'".

Everything changes when the octopus who rescues him transforms into a handsome young man. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Aikane is directed and produced by a multi-talented and -identified team whose work has appeared at Sundance, Berlin, Tribeca, and Toronto and received an Emmy, two Oscar nods, and a GLAAD Media Award. We made this film because we believe telling a queer love story with a happy ending is a beautiful – and necessary – form of resistance.

ABOUT THE FILM: A spirited, middle-aged man with Down syndrome faces an uncertain future when his mother, who lovingly cares for him as he struggles with bouts of dementia and growing physical infirmity, is no longer able to help him. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Adam Deyoe Is a writer, director, animator, and visual effects artist living in Los Angeles. He graduated from Emerson College with a B.F.A. in film production and went on to direct numerous features including the cult films "Psycho Sleepover" and "Yeti: A Love Story" for Troma Entertainment and the horror action-thriller "Dead Season" for the SyFy Network. His latest directorial works have been the zombie-thriller "Decade of the Dead" which wrapped shooting this year in Hawaii and the stop motion short film "Davey's Lullaby" which was made over the course of two years in a makeshift garage studio throughout quarantine.&nbsp;

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Linda Krauss is a German animation director. She studied at Vancouver Film School in Canada focusing on stop-motion animation with her diploma project. She continued her studies back in Germany at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, exploring 2D and 3D animation as well as visual effects. With ‘Pussy Love’ she graduated from Filmakademie in 2022.

ABOUT THE FILM: A technician's attempt to clone himself using cutting-edge technology goes horribly wrong. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Jasper Lin is an animator, computer artist, and educator. His work ranges from narrative short films to experimental video and sound pieces, but his interdisciplinary background and DIY work ethic have led him to fill a wide variety of roles in production, design, and academia. Jasper received an MFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts in 2011 and is an Assistant Professor of Digital Art and Design at Queensborough Community College.
