ABOUT THE FILM: Cassius, a Mexican-American garbage man who is a modern version of a worn-down gladiator, fights to make a living as a nighttime garbage man in the concrete arena known as the Bronx. Inevitably, he gets laid off one night and faces his fear of becoming homeless and a pariah. On his own terms, Cassius sets up his final farewell, but an electrical fuse unexpectedly defaults him and leaves him wandering throughout the night in quest of his truth. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Kevin Haefelin (he/him) is a writer/director from Switzerland based between New York and Geneva. He graduated from Columbia University with an MFA in Screenwriting and Directing, he is a member of the Swiss Film Academy and BAFTA Connect. Kevin’s work revolves around societal issues and uses comedic tones. He is particularly sensitive to social injustice and misrepresentation and has been striving to voice concerns and anchor his pieces in contemporary settings.&nbsp;﻿

He has no qualms about contacting this son, but others in his life might not be on the same page. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Alana McNair (Writer/Director) is a filmmaker, writer, and musician based in Brooklyn, NY. Film projects include the short films IN THE BOG, EXISTENTIAL CRISIS, and IMMINENT DANGER!. Her work as a playwright and performer has been produced in New York and other cities around the country, including the plays FATAL ATTRACTION: A GREEK TRAGEDY (starring Corey Feldman), POWER BURN 3, SETTLEMENT, and JUST PIDDLIN’: A DIRT ROAD OPERETTA. She is in development for her first feature film as writer/director. She has taught film production at Rutgers University, Seton Hall University, and Pace University.

Mining her mother’s letters and a rich archive of family photos, Katherine and her co-director Emily Sternlicht weave an elegiac narrative about addiction, grief, and family.&nbsp; ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Katherine Clary is a filmmaker and writer based in New York City and Kingston, New York. Her work explores themes of grief, connection, and memory. She is currently an Associate Producer for Marilyn Ness and Katy Chevigny's award-winning production company, Big Mouth Productions.Emily Sternlicht is a documentary filmmaker and video editor based in New York City. Emily has nearly ten years experience in the non-fiction, news and documentary media industry and this will be her first time in the role of director. In her work she pushes the boundaries of visual storytelling, blending experimental techniques with documentary tradition.
