He also wrote the graphic novel Mother Nature with Jamie Lee Curtis and Karl Stevens, inspired by their screenplay. His short films including Burn Out and Closing Time have played at over 100 film festivals around the world, including Fantastic Fest, Chattanooga, Fantaspoa, Sidewalk, and the opening night of HollyShorts.

ABOUT THE FILM:After the death of his wife, a South Asian father and his son begin seeing a shadow around the walls of their home, who the son believes to be his mother. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Ian Bawa is a filmmaker from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He's best known for his films The Champ, Imitations, and Tapeworm. His short Strong Son premiered at 2020 Toronto International Film Festival. His most recent film, My Son Went Quiet, premiered at the 2024 Slamdance Film Festival and 2024 Fantasia Film Festival. Ian was also selected to be part of the 2021 TIFF Filmmakers Lab, 2021 ReelWorld E20 Lab, and recently completed his residency at the Norman Jewison Canadian Film Center – Director’s Lab. Ian is currently in pre-production of his feature, Strong Son, set to shoot in fall of 2024.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Born and raised in Paris, Sarah Nocquet is a French-American screenwriter and director working in London, New York, and Paris. An NYU Tisch Film &amp; TV graduate, she writes and directs quiet, psychological thrillers in which women question their identity, and enjoys toying with irony and absurdism in tense settings. Her short psychological thriller Speed Queen 51 starring Rory Culkin premiered at Palm Springs Shortfest 2024. Her latest short film is 5min dramedy Decoy starring Lia Williams, planning a festival run in 2025.

His becoming a chess prodigy at a young age and continuing engagement in the competitive scene is set against his family in the arts, his own career in film, and a degree in literature from King’s College London; insofar as chess players tend to exist on the scientific end of the spectrum. He has thus found that he has a unique perspective on an intriguing world – a world which he has found lends itself to the filmic medium in Post Mortem both visually, aurally, but above all narratively.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Director, screenwriter and producer of the movie Visitante (Visitor) (2022), distributed by Filmax, premiered in the Official Fantastic Competition in Sitges Festival and was nominated for Best Picture in Premios Gaudí. His shorts (Casa, Alexis, La Cruz) have participated and received several awards in festivals like Clermont-Ferrand (France), Bifan (South Korea) and Sitges (Spain), adding more than 200 recognitions. He has directed music videos for Abraham Mateo, Robe (Extremoduro), Soraya, Edurne, Lali o Elefantes, winning the VEVO Award in 2015. He also has directed spots for Coca-Cola and Sony and a TV series for À Punt Mèdia called Diumenge Paella.

Originally from Baltimore, MD, Giles is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Film &amp; Television Production. His two most recent films, Expiration Date (documentary) and Apollo (narrative), explore niche interpersonal conflict emanating from misguided American ideals.
