On her first animation job she scanned and colored hand drawn animation. For the first time she witnessed how thousands of separated drawings put together suddenly turn into a living character. Director's Bio: Mulan Fu is a New York-based Chinese animator, illustrator, and director. She has recently graduated from the Film and Television major at New York University Tisch School of the Arts and is currently pursuing a master's degree in educational game design at Teachers College Columbia University.

Synopsis: Animated short film about Demi, a Latina in NYC whose nightmares foreshadow an unprecedented storm, transforming her city &amp; her life. Inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. Director's Bio: Bill Plympton is considered the King of Indie Animation, and is the first person to hand draw an entire animated feature film. Bill moved to New York City from Portland, Oregon in 1968 and began his career creating cartoons for publications such as New York Times, National Lampoon, Playboy and Screw. In 1987, he was nominated for an Oscar® for his animated short YOUR FACE. In 2005, Bill received another Oscar® nomination, this time for his short GUARD DOG. PUSH COMES TO SHOVE won the prestigious Cannes 1991 Palme d'Or; and in 2001, another short film, EAT, won the Grand Prize for Short Films in Cannes Critics' Week. Bill Plympton has also collaborated with Madonna, Kanye West and Weird Al Yankovic in a number of music videos and book projects. In 2006, he received the Winsor McCay Lifetime Achievement Award from The Annie Awards. He also animated 6 opening "couch gags" for FOX-TV's THE SIMPSONS and 6 "Trump Bites" shorts using real audio from Donald Trump, which won a 2019 Webby Award.&nbsp;﻿

Their ability to use a wide array of mediums, incorporate style-centric content, and mine human stories in a cinematic setting, while remaining accessible to a diverse audience, has made them a director to watch out for. They showran a docuseries for Billboard Magazine, interviewing the Top 100 artists, producing over 50 episodes. She earned a master’s degree in Animation and Digital Arts at the University of Southern California. She focuses on storytelling and visual design. Rui’s artwork is mainly about the inner world of people. And she is also concerned with the mental health issues of young people. She tries to convey those concepts through her artwork.

He was cared for and loved by a group of adults, largely gay men, who he called his “aunties.” Stefan remembers the succession of AIDS-related illnesses in his family, including the death of his father in ‘91. Even in the face of terrible sickness and loss, his aunties showed him how to survive and care for one another. Director's Bio: Director and producer Richard O'Connor produces animation for documentary films, commercials, theatrical pieces, and original short films through his studio Ace &amp; Son Moving Picture Co. Their work has appeared in documentaries on PBS series like ​American Masters and ​American Experience ​and in the recent, critically-acclaimed animated documentary N​UTS! Richard began his career in animation at the Ink Tank working under R. O. Blechman, who, in turn, first worked under John Hubley. Synopsis: In a non-distinct period in time, at a table in a barn, masked figures commune over simple chores and games. These mysterious interactions serve to conjure a playful spirit. As night falls the spirit poses questions about the life that continues on without them. Director's Bio: Beck Underwood is a filmmaker based in the Hudson Valley and NYC. She conducts her experiments in stopmotion animation in a variety of settings, embracing the planned and accidental with equal glee.
