Director's Bio: Lewis Rose is a London-based writer and director. Usually working in comedy, many of his films explore issues of cultural and religious identity, aiming to uncover humour and heart that lies beneath. His previous short, THE CHOP, is a comedy about a Kosher butcher who loses his job, can’t find work at another kosher butcher and therefore pretends to be Muslim in order to get work in a halal shop. It has screened at over 200 festivals including BFI London and many others. It has won 52 awards to date, including top prizes at Palm Springs, Krakow and Rhode Island. It has also been picked up for distribution, and has since been sold to numerous airlines (Virgin Atlantic, Air France, Air Canada) and broadcasters (Canal+, France TV2). Alongside his fiction work, Lewis has also directed numerous commercial projects for major label artists. His music video for Beardyman won UKMVA in 2016 and several other awards.
