Synopsis: Set amongst Kenya’s Samburu and Maasai communities, an intimate and contemporary tale of self-discovery unfolds, as 12 women become East Africa’s first all-female anti-poaching unit. Upending the male-dominated reliance upon military-style training to make a wildlife ranger, Virginia, Liz, Momina, and Damaris experience a true rite of passage, rooted both in tradition and trauma-release. Their journey triggers profound transformation, sending shockwaves through their communities. A story about the wilderness within us all.

Director's Bio: Born in San Francisco, based in Kenya for over a decade, Peck is a Nairobi-based director whose works include GARDNERS OF EDEN (Netflix, NatGeo). Peck has also served as regional program director for the covert human rights organization Videre Est Credere. Multi-year projects include a 6-hour docuseries on police corruption broadcast on KTN Kenya and film-based media campaigns to combat persecution of Kenya’s queer community.
