The Ecology of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)
Originally recorded live, Saturday, January 16th
The language of ecology and how nature "speaks" can be instructive in how we approach equitable and inclusive practices for diversity and justice-oriented work. From frames of resilience, regeneration, restoration, and reconnection, nature can remind and push us in what healthy "human ecosystems" can be in relation to each other as we are in relation to the land. Moderated by Latino Outdoors Founder José González, this conversation will include Francis Mendoza (Naturalist, JEDAI Section Director at National Association for Interpretation), Carla Marie Munoz (Ohlone Sister, Costanoan Rumsen Carmel Tribe), Leslie Parra (Outreach Program Manager, Save the Redwoods League), and Linnea Hardlund (Giant Sequoia Forest Fellow, Save the Redwoods League)
