Our second block of films-- from Saturday Early Afternoon but available for streaming anytime- features four diverse documentaries.

In Quebec, we learn from this film, logging companies are required to plant three trees for every one they cut down. Thus, entire societies are created each summer among the legions of young people who are recruited for this hard, hot, buggy work. Julie Lambert tells the story of these micro-societies that are formed in the woods from the standpoint of the women--- planters, forepersons, techs, cooks-- who have chosen to work there.
