ADRIAN gets an ear piercing from his crush, LEX, finally working up the nerve to ask them out. As they text about date plans, Adrian is nearly hit by a passing truck. The DRIVER shouts slurs at Adrian and drives off.

Adrian trains at the gym with his friend VIC, but can't shake his insecurities after the incident. He takes out his new earring in the locker room. When he arrives for his date with Lex that evening, they notice the piercing his gone. Before Adrian can explain, he spots the truck from earlier pulling up in the distance and walks off to confront the Driver.

A short tussle between Adrian and the Driver ensues in the parking lot, and ends with Lex nursing Adrian's wounds back at their apartment. Adrian apologizes, but it's clear his need to defend his masculinity has brought the date to an end.
