In 1995, more than a century after the grey wolf was eradicated from the Yellowstone region, it was reintroduced to America's first national park. As wolves began to thrive again in their native habitat so, too, did controversy. Some believe wolves are evil killing machines that should once again be eradicated and others believe they are cute and cuddly animals that can do no wrong. This issue has quickly become a political one and has contributed to the growing divide among Americans, especially in the west.
