Churchill, Manitoba is famous as a travel destination for photographing polar bears. We've seen these images in magazines and natural history but never before from the bear's perspective. Nuisance Bear reveals as much about humans as it does about these bears who navigate an obstacle course of tourist paparazzi and wildlife officers during their annual autumn migration.

In 1995, more than a century after the grey wolf was eradicated from the Yellowstone region, it was reintroduced to America's first national park. As wolves began to thrive again in their native habitat so, too, did controversy. Some believe wolves are evil killing machines that should once again be eradicated and others believe they are cute and cuddly animals that can do no wrong. This issue has quickly become a political one and has contributed to the growing divide among Americans, especially in the west.

Russian geophysicist Sergey Zimov and his son Nikita are gathering any large woolly beast they can get their hands on and transporting them, by whatever low budget means they can contrive, to the most remote corner of Siberia. They call their project Pleistocene Park. Their goal: restore the Ice Age “mammoth steppe” ecosystem, thereby preventing Arctic permafrost melt, slowing its release of sequestered carbon, and avoiding a catastrophic feedback loop leading to runaway global warming. Can two Russian scientists stave off a worst case scenario of global environmental catastrophe and reshape humanity’s relationship with the natural world? The clock is ticking.
