Laugh your ass off with these six comic gems—a sister realizing her brother is gay, a young man making a confession over dinner to his confused family, a case of bedbugs putting a lifelong friendship to the test, the world’s greatest private investigator, investigating a new case in drag, America’s favorite “guncle” (gay uncle) finding himself cornered by his family in his dressing room wanting to share a secret, and a quirky, socially anxious mess—played by Meg Stalter—who can't seem to keep a job now has her chance.
The New Yorker Studios presents a B5 picture. It’s minutes before curtain when America’s favorite “guncle” (gay uncle), standup comedian Joe Fox, finds himself cornered by his family in his dressing room. After touring the country at the mic, Joey returns for his hometown show with a secret: tonight he’s doing the show in full drag. Not everyone's thrilled. What follows is a comic debate between three generations of gay men about sex, sexuality, queerness, fluidity, age, race, performance, and “woke” culture.
Silver Fox is a no-holds-barred comedy that pokes fun — a lot of it — at the confusion of the modern world and begs us all to not only laugh at ourselves but to protect one another as we continue to push boundaries. At its heart, it is a story of forgiveness, protection, permission, freedom, and play.
