About The Filmmaker

Christophe is a French-Lebanese filmmaker. A USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate with an M.F.A. in Cinema-Television, his short film “What to Bring to America” played in various festivals and won several awards, including the Outstanding 1st Time Director award at DC Shorts. It was also sold to Diva Universal in Italy.


A fellow at the Rawi Screenwriters Lab 2017, Christophe won in 2018 the BCP prize at the Fondation Liban Cinéma Re-writing Workshop, and the Best Screenplay Award at the Cinephilia Screenwriting Lab for Shorts. He currently develops two musical films, HIGH HEEL HAKAWATI (feature) and STEPHANIE OF BADARO (short), and was in the Fiction in Development competition at the Beirut Cinema Platform 2019. He participated at Global MediaMakers Directing Workshop in Beirut, and was a jury member at the Lebanese Independent Film Festival.


Christophe recently completed the 2020-2021 Groupe Ouest/Arte France TV Series pre-writing workshop, and received a grant from the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Baden-Württemberg to make the short film "Doppelklick".
