This collection of short films focuses on the cultivation and growth of the next generation, as youth take control of the narrative and write the next chapter of society. 


This program is 91 minutes long and contains 7 short films. This program is available to audiences worldwide.

In the 90’s, a Bedouin boy named Hamad must go on a journey to rescue his best-friend, a newborn camel named Olayan, from being sold at the market by his father.


About the Filmmaker



Khalifa Al-Marri is a visual artist and filmmaker who has made several contributions to the fine art community in Doha, Qatar. Al Marri went on to complete a Mass Communications degree at Qatar University and holds a diploma in Directing from NYFA. His first short film, Man of the House, premiered at the Ajyal Film Festival and received multiple awards in the festival circuit. Al Marri’s next short entitled Fragile was selected to participate in the Doha Film Institute exchange with La Fémis workshop in Paris. Khalifa recently completed an experimental short film called Embodiment before writing and directing his epic short film Olayan. Al Marri is currently employed at Katara Studios in Doha as a full-time director.
