About the Filmmaker



An Egyptian director who graduated from the High Institute of Cinema in Cairo. Later, he founded his own production company Rahala Production and Distribution. In 2013 the company had its first production, the short documentary OM AMIRA written and directed by Naji. It was screened in Berlinale in the short films competition, which was considered a comeback for the Egyptian Cinema whose last participation in the Berlinale was 30 years ago. His latest work is MAMA (2022) which has been selected at Cairo IFF.
