
Through a mix of narrative, documentary and experimental shorts produced all around the world, we present seven stories chronicling the struggles faced by Iraqis over the past 50 years. From the Iraq-Iran War to Desert Storm to ISIS and the persecution of the Yazidi people, these films offer us windows into a world that many of us don't see.

A Yezidi teenager who lives in a refugee camp helps his family by selling sheep milk, but when his main Yezidi customer is no longer in service, he has to sell it to Muslim shop owners who are not interested.
About the filmmaker:
Saman Mustefa is born in 1996 in Kurdistan – Iraq. In 2015 Saman made his very first short film The Unknown Life, which he wrote, produced and directed by himself. He was chosen best young director in Kurdistan for his short film at the Rwanga Festival, which was held in Iraq - Kurdistan – Suleymaniah. He has worked with some famous Kurdish and European directors and producers such as Sahim Omar Khalifa, Mehmet Aktas, Sergio Trefaut, Hussein Hessen, Kamiran Betasi. Since then he has made six short films himself, and worked in a lot of other Kurdish films, mostly as 1AD and Actor. Now he is a production member with Mitos film. He is also an actor with Karen Cifarelli talent consulting.
