When fugitive Ayaan encounters a man on a rural beach, she must decide whether to trust him, or journey on alone.

Director's statement:

In 2013, a tiny fishing boat carrying 66 people docked in a tiny port. Its arrival shocked Australian authorities who detained the passengers and moved them into a detention center. 38 people were returned to their homeland, one received a temporary protection visa and 27 were still stuck, awaiting further processing two years later. Ayaan is a fictitious story, but it's inspired by this event.
