Director Kali Kahn

Director's Statement:

I created this film in an attempt to piece together memories of my mother and dig up moments of tenderness between us that had been eclipsed by her struggle with mental illness.

It's an exercise in understanding and forgiveness as it shifts perspective from the young girl to her mother, inviting the audience to reconfigure their emotional alignment throughout the course of the story.

I want this film to serve as a love letter and homage to my mother, and to mothers everywhere who are doing the best they can.
