The Delhi National Capital Region is famous for being a crowded and polluted city — one of the most rapidly developing urban areas in the world. In the middle of this concrete jungle, hundreds of bird species have found little pockets to raise their young, or to stop by on their winter migrations. It's not an easy survival — construction is wiping out wetlands and scrub forests. And yet, many birds are making it work.
