MEET THE FILMMAKER: SHIVA SADEGH ASADI
Shiva Sadegh Asadi is an Iranian filmmaker and painter. She started her career as a visual artist in 2006.Then she continued her studies and graduated with a Master’s degree in animation from University of Art, Tehran. She experimented different techniques and made a few short animated films including “The Kitten” in 2013, “Maned & Macho” in 2017 and “Crab” in 2020. Her animated films have been screened in many festivals all over the world and won some awards, including Filmfest Dresden Special Mention Award for “Maned & Macho” in 2018 and Hiroshima International Jury Award for “Crab” in 2020.
