In modern-day Inner Mongolia, an elder Shaman is searching for a foal that the Gods tell her is the rebirth of her grandson. No one, including her son, believes in her, but she insists the Gods will reply to her call.

MEET THE FILMMAKER: ZHUOLAN

Zhuolan is a director from Inner Mongolia, China. She finished her B.S. in Oceanography at Tongji University and M.A. in Cinema Studies at NYU Tisch. Grown up in a Mongolian family, Zhuolan has a deep passion for nature and its connection with human beings. That is the locus that bonds her pursuits in both natural science and cinema. Zhuolan is also fascinated by the soundscape of the nature, the breezes and the waves, human sensual eulogies and dance-steps, which can probably explain her years of being a rock band vocal.
