THE MERMAID'S JOURNEY


A film about how a perfect day at the beach spent between an immigrant mother and her daughter can suddenly turn for the worse when they are pulled over on their way home.


Director's Bio:

Alexandra Torterotot is a French filmmaker based in NYC. She began her career in movie production as an intern on Spike Lee films while she studied at School of Visual Arts. After obtaining her B.F.A in Film, she decided to pursue a career in script supervising. In 2011, she directed AU FIL DU BANC. The film won the best short film award at the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival and was selected in dozens of festivals around the world. It also aired on French national television France 3 and Switzerland RTS 2.
