Thursday is a portrait of a woman in Poland on the day she chooses to do a secret medical abortion at home. We follow Maria, an actress, as she goes about her day as “normally” as possible after taking abortion pills, all while hiding that she is in the middle of a very intimate and lonely experience. The script is based on the stories of real Polish women shared during interviews with writer/director Bren Cukier.
