This year’s music video program intertwines the influence of pop-culture with genre-defining artists from both the music and film industries.
The third instalment of Beacon Bloom‘s Universe: ‘Real‘ harkens to both Inception and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, while keeping its own distinct footprint, following the theme of digital enlightenment.
The video depicts a down-on-his-luck character that responds to a paid medical experiment ad – which inevitably takes him way out of his depth – crossing into different realities.
Director's Bio:
Real was directed by New Zealand creatives Beacon Bloom (Ryan Ferris, James Allen) and cinematographer Caleb Macdonald (Kitafilms). Real is their second full-production collaboration for the Beacon Bloom Universe which they aim to expand into a larger endeavour including a tv series pilot. They are currently based in the UK and open to further collaborations worldwide.
