Boston Turkish Festival's 18th Documentary & Short Film Competition (2023)

Tomorrow is an important day; Ayser will pay a visit to her husband in prison. But before then, she has to finish sewing clothes to pay the lawyer, settle a dispute with her sister Emine, and convince her daughter Deniz that children are not allowed in prison.




Derya Uygurlar (Siverek, 1991) worked as an actress in national and international productions including Soeur d’armes (France / US, 2019) by Caroline Fourest, Neighbours (Switzerland, 2021) by Mano Khalil and The Four Walls (Turkey / US, 2021) by Bahman Ghobadi. Baby Ant is her first short film as a director.
