These video poems are portals into ourselves and others where new associations and unexpected connections are crafted. We are suspended in the gravity of these pieces, our feet never quite touching solid ground as our emotional core soars. Using erasure, installation, tableaux, anthropomorphism, and live music, this showcase traverses the conscious, unconscious, and subconscious to imagine the multitude of pathways through reality. Stormers tells a story about the changes that occur in two people’s lives upon the arrival of a third person to their home. We see how games played by this couple in their home create a space for their relationship to flourish, but at the same time, shield them from reality. A newcomer to the game-space changes the rules, forcing all three of them to construct a new way to relate to one another.
