What makes us human? Are we truly so different from everything else on the planet? It’s in our Human/Nature to ask these questions, and to ponder our place in a world that we are shaping for better or worse – a world that can be threatening and overwhelming, serene and beautiful. These shorts explore the nature of humanity and our relationship with the world around us – how wildlife adapts to our man-made environments, our love for our pets, the feeling of losing ourselves in the city or abandoning ourselves to rivers and oceans. Have you ever stopped to ask a stranger on the street what their hopes and dreams are? Or wondered if animals know what love is? Well, think no longer, as this programme will explore the answers to all that, and more.

Beth sy'n ein gwneud ni'n ddynol? Ydyn ni'n wirioneddol wahanol i bopeth arall ar y blaned? Mae yn ein Natur/Ddynol i ofyn y cwestiynau hyn, ac i fyfyrio ar ein lle mewn byd yr ydym yn ei siapio er gwell neu er gwaeth – byd a all fod yn fygythiol ac yn llethol, yn dawel ac yn hardd. Mae’r ffilmiau byr hyn yn archwilio natur y ddynoliaeth a’n perthynas â’r byd o’n cwmpas – sut mae bywyd gwyllt yn addasu i’n hamgylcheddau a wnaed gan ddyn, ein cariad at ein hanifeiliaid anwes, y teimlad o golli ein hunain yn y ddinas neu gefnu ar afonydd a chefnforoedd. Ydych chi erioed wedi stopio i ofyn i ddieithryn ar y stryd beth yw eu gobeithion a'u breuddwydion? Neu tybed a yw anifeiliaid yn gwybod beth yw cariad? Wel, peidiwch â meddwl mwyach, gan y bydd y rhaglen hon yn archwilio'r atebion i hynny i gyd, a mwy.
Unbound is a lively and colourful three minute abstract animation which presents the filmmaker's feelings about being perceived as “wheelchair bound” and her positive experience of physically exciting activities such as dancing and zip wiring. It combines cut out animation in hand-painted watercolour paper with digital effects, using colours, shapes and movement inspired by Kandinsky’s paintings to express emotion. The director's voice-over, spoken on her electronic communication aid and subtitled, describes her experiences. Jazz-inspired music composed for the film reflects the motion and excitement of the activities.
