Carlos Lenin is a mexican filmmaker from Linares, Mexico. Berlinale Talents Alumni 2019. He specialized as a film director at the National School of Film Arts (ENAC - UNAM) formerly known as CUEC - UNAM and took the Workshop for directors by Abbas Kiarostami at 4o IBAFF. In 2019 he premiered his first feature film The Dove and the Wolf at the Locarno Film Festival where he was awarded the Swatch Art Peace Hotel Award. The film also won best mexican feature film at Los Cabos Film Festival 2019, FICUNAM 2020 and Black Canvas 2020 and best feature film at the 49th Sehsüechte International Student film festival. The film was selected for the New Directors New Films by Lincoln Center and MoMa 2020 edition.
